The World Digital Cities Federation (WDCF) is a global non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the deep integration of digital technologies in urban construction, management, and operations. Our mission is to promote sustainable development, innovation, and inclusive growth in cities worldwide. WDCF’s core mission is to build a cross-regional, cross-industry digital city network through global collaboration, helping cities address common challenges in digital transformation, enhance governance and operational efficiency, and ultimately improve the quality of life for residents globally.
As urbanization accelerates worldwide, digital technology has become a critical driver of urban development. City managers face complex issues such as population growth, resource scarcity, environmental protection, and public safety, all of which require efficient use of digital technologies, data, and intelligent systems. WDCF was established to address these needs, particularly in the field of digital city construction, by providing forward-looking digital solutions to drive global cities toward intelligent transformation, reduce environmental pollution, improve energy efficiency, and build green, low-carbon, and sustainable urban development models.

Our team members come from diverse backgrounds and cultures, united in their commitment to driving global urban digital transformation and creating smarter, more sustainable, and inclusive futures.
WDCF is chaired by Mr. Cabou Thierry from Senegal, who has over 30 years of experience in cross-national PPP projects, having led the financing and delivery of numerous international infrastructure and public welfare projects. WDCF’s commitment to inclusivity and diversity underscores our dedication to integrating the voices and experiences of developing countries into the digital city development process.
